Special Education at work

 

Special Education is a means of providing services to students who have been determined to have a disability by an Eligibility Committee.  Eligible students receive specially designed instruction to meet their unique needs.  Instruction may be provided by general education staff, special education staff, and / or contracted staff.

Gifted students are those who perform at high levels in academic or creative fields when compared to others of their age, experience or environment.  These students require services not ordinarily provided by the regular school program.  Students possessing these abilities can be found in all populations, across all socioeconomic groups, and in all areas of human endeavor.
