   The Department of Student Services is responsible for:
  • collaborating with the Director of Instruction to organize a committee to select an appropriate textbook for the next academic year
  • seeking approval of the committeeā€™s recommendation from the Board of Education members and the Superintendent
  • coordinating the ordering of adopted textbooks and supplementary materials for the district
  • coordinating the ordering of all workbooks/supplemental materials for the life of the textbook adoption
  • organizing and maintaining the textbook depository, making it conducive for housing and inventorying textbooks
  • establishing/maintaining a system to monitor the number and condition of textbooks in the schools and the book depository
  • ensuring the equal distribution of textbooks throughout the system
