NOTICE OF DESTRUCTION SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS Students that received Special Education Services in the Bessemer City School System that exited prior to 2011 are hereby notified that their records will be eliminated from our system’s files on July 5, 2017. Your records could be required in the future for Social Security Benefits or other purposes.
If you wish to obtain your records, place your request with the Department of Special Education Central Office Staff at 205-432-3002. At least two weeks notice is required to prepare your records.
